Today is Day #38 of The Road To Valour

Climb (m)29514,866

Wind and rain. Wind and rain. Wind and rain. Wind and rain. This is really starting to wear thin.

On today’s ride I was joined by:

  • Ehsan Ebrahimnia
  • Ernie MacDonald

Other than the wind and the rain (and I’ve whined about that enough), there just wasn’t anything to report about today. This was just a day where winds were hitting in at up to 32 kph gusting to 40 kph, right on our nose. This was just a day to put our heads down, draft and get the job done. And that’s what we did.

When I got to the hotel (because we weren’t going to camp in these conditions, knowing that camping on Sunday night is almost a certainty given the lack of alternatives in the area), I checked my email and found a major surprise. Nanton had come calling again! A fellow I had met at the Bomber Command Museum a few weeks ago (feels more like a few month or even years ago), Peter Dombrowski, while were both touring the museum was so impressed with The Road To Valour that he decided to make a video of our encounter

I can’t figure out how to embed the video so that you get the preview, so click on the url and it should open in YouTube.

Good night from Brandon, MB. Just 4 more days left to The Road To Valour.
