Today is Day #2 of The Road To Valour
With sunny skies and a great tail wind, we left Steve Shore’s home (campground) and headed for Chilliwack.

| The Stats | Today | Total (so far) |
|---|---|---|
| Distance (km) | 74.5 | 131.4 |
| Climb (m) | 317 | 876 |
On today’s ride I was joined by:
- Greg Kosar
- Enn Kiudorf
- Ernie MacDonald
- Dana Vanier (a fellow ex-cadet from RMC joined for a section of the ride)
Today was a nice gentle ride through the Fraser Valley. However, Komoot, my course planning app found some interesting trails with their own hurdles!

After some interesting navigational issues, Dana Vanier (a fellow ex-cadet from the RMC Class of 74 and Military Engineer joined us for a section of the ride. Unfortunately, health issues cut his ride with us a bit shorter than we wanted. Just the same, it was great to have him with us.
In the early afternoon, we rolled into Chilliwack. Chilliwack played a major role in much of my life. I was born here, started school at St. Mary’s Elementary and graduated from Sardis Secondary School (lots of other schools in between). I also started my military career here and retired while stationed at CFB Chilliwack.
We arrived at our destination for the night, the Chilliwack Military Museum and were met by our hosts Karen and Bob. We set up for a among the many artifacts that are housed here.

Ernie was even visited by one of the ghosts of the museum when in the middle of the night a sign leaning against the wall crashed down. He insists that he didn’t kick it.
